Design Thinking and How Its Use Can Help Democratic Outcomes
Mónica Pachón

Mónica Pachón holds an MA in Political Science from Universidad de los Andes, an MPhil in Latin American Studies from Oxford University, and a PhD in Political Science from the University of California, San Diego. She is currently an Associate Professor at Universidad de los Andes in the Architecture and Design Department. Her research focuses on executive– legislative relations, organization and institutional evolution of the Colombian Congress, fiscal efforts and political decentralization, electoral systems, and institutions, and more recently political and voting behavior. She worked as Project Manager of Congreso Visible in the Political Science Department at Universidad de los Andes from August 2009 to August 2013 and was Associate Professor at the School of Government Alberto Lleras Camargo at Universidad de los Andes. She was Dean of the Faculty Political Science, Government and International Relations at Universidad del Rosario until December 2018, and Tinker Fellow at Columbia University from August to December 2018.
